You are here in Calgary I see. You looking for F80 or F82? Factory order or willing to pick off the lot? Buying or leasing? Existing customer or not? If existing, for how long/how many cars? The Calgary dealers have quite a bit in inventory right now, so you may be able to get a bit of a deal if you pick something from stock BUT historically they are not known for dealing much on M cars. I know more than one M5/M6 owner who paid full sticker, period. Oddly, they seem to deal a little less on factory orders...which i think is all ass backwards but, whatever. I ordered mine back in August and got a bit of a discount, but not a crazy big one. Also unknown is whether and/or how much they are feeling any initial signs of the current blip in the economy. Sales of this car could certainly suffer a bit, but how much is not yet clear. (my own guess is: very little, but....)

I am looking for M3 so it is a F80.
All my previous cars were factory ordered and unless I find the exact combo I am looking for it will be factory. Most likely it will be factory order. I will be buying. Existing customer. Been dealing with them since 2006 and in the ~ 9 Yr period bought 5 cars from Calgary BMW. My last one I bought from Edmonton BMW. Calgary BMW told me that they will give 3% off if I pick one from the lot. Which is IMO laughable. |

I got around 4% on my F83, which I'm happy since the car was not on the lot and spec'ed exactly the way I wanted, and pretty rare still.
On a car they have on the lot you could IMO get 5%, but It all depends on what they think they can get for the car. If they move them quickly, and considering the M3/4 are new model cars, they might not be willing to negotiate much. I once got about 10% off a 2010 S4, but the 2011 where coming in, and they were ''stuck'' with it. However, If you make them a firm serious offer I'm sure you can get 4 to 5% off if you sign. Especially if they were willing to give you 3% off the bat.

I say if on the dealer lot, min. 5-6%, considering it's almost end of MY2015.
If factory order, you may as well get the MY2016 and try to get 3-4%, at least you don't lose the 1 year depreciation. |

I was able to get about 6% off with a few freebies thrown in on a new order two weeks ago (f83). If the dealership has allocations left, they're not likely going to sell them before the 2016 orders become available and are probably willing to bargain a bit fill them.
I went in with roughly that number in mind and didn't bother trying to haggle more once we got to it, but I imagine you could do a little better if you really wanted to. As others have said, you'll get an even better deal if you're ok with buying off the lot. |
