What camera set up do you use?

I need an in cabin camera set up, the most common set up is a gopro with a suction cup on the windshield or side windows, I need something that can be centered between the seats with a view of the steering wheel, I used to use a mount the will attach to the headrest rods, but that's not an option for the M4 due to the design of integrated headrests, is there anything else on the market now for such set up?

I have a GoPro Black and with the right suction mount that has an extension arm I place it on top of the rear window and the view is pretty good. However, in addition to that I have a Smartycam connected to the AIM Solo DL. I will have few vids in couple pics from both, you can see the setup then.

How much vibration do you get with the go pro extension mount at track speed?

I don't have the car yet, but I've seen the following setup:
- Panavise suction mount on the back of the seat (center portion)
- Panavise 3" extension to center the cam between the seats
- GoPro cam

That's what I ordered, I think it will work fine. If not, I can always mount the suction cup on a window or something.

I used this setup (you can see the field of view here: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1073219).

Problem with the 3 inch extension arm is that the suction cup does not hold very well against the plastic back of the seat, and the mount has a tendency to detach when using it ....

Use without the extension arm is decent though as you can see from the video.

I'm curious to see what this setup looks like...

None. The arm comes with two suction cups and very good tightening rods.

I'll try to take a pic next time I put it up in the car. We just keep having ice/snow storms one after another, so haven't been doing anything fun with the car for a while

Here is the one I have:

And here are couple of other recommendations:

Have you guys tried mounting suction cups on tinted windows? Is that something I should be concerned about?

I also have the fat gecko dual suction cup mount and highly recommend it! It really stabilizes the vibrations I was seeing with just a single suction cup mount.

A few videos I've taken with this mount:
MSR Houston in Audi S4 #1
MSR Houston in Audi S4 #2

This is using my GoPro Hero 3+ in 1080p60fps but down converted to 30fps to add the overlays on my iPhone with Harry's LapTimer.

Also, the second video is with the suction cup mount attached to the inner side of my sunroof which I realize may not be an option with carbon roofs.

I have a GoPro 3+ Silver with a PanaVise 808 suction cup mount. I stick it to the windshield below the mirror. There is no vibration and the GoPro does a good job with the sound. That location shields it from wind noise.
