Hello people,


I had my headlight not working so what I did for troubleshooting is:

Swapped my xenon bulb to another headlight , was working

Swapped my ballast to another headlight, wasn't working

So I definitely knew that my ballast is gone and it's time for a new one.


Today I bought a new ballast and had it installed on my headlight but the headlight didn't work

First I thought it's a defective ballast so I switched it to another car and it worked perfectly, I switched my xenon bulb also was working perfectly.


My question is: what could be the issue if both ballast and bulb are working perfectly but the headlight is not working ?

I got the adptive headlight error on dash but that's not a reason for the headlight not to turn on I guess?

Did you erase the tripped short circut error in tool32 ? If any faults are tripped you could get a electronic block in the FRM that you need to open before you will have power to your lamp again.

Search for tool32 and short circut erase
