KMAC Stage 2 camber plates

Has anyone tried or know of any one that has tried the KMAC camber plates (Turner Motorsports) on the new M3 or M4 with the standard or adaptive suspension? From the pictures on the TMS site, I don't see how it could possibly tie into the big aluminum brace that stiffens the whole tower area.

Thanks,
Terry

I have them sitting on my toolbox. One of these days I'll get them on the car. I was waiting to see if swift springs would ever hit the market so I could just do it all at once. I'm looking at them and wondering the same thing you are. I'll post some pics of the install process.

Says its for passive suspension only and "some fabrication may be required"?

Keep us posted, looks like a PITA job though.

HeckYeahBro,
Check to see if the top plate of your KMAC has three extra holes on a smaller diameter circle than the outer perimeter holes that mount to the strut tower itself. These extra holes would be needed to screw the big odd shaped aluminum support bracket into. This bracket is obvious when you take the plastic covering off this area.

I'm guessing you don't have these extra holes. I've been talking to KMAC directly in Australia and they seemed not to know of the need for these support bracket mounting points. I think they just assumed that their F30 camber plates would work, but the F30 doesn't have the extra aluminum support bracket.

MaynardZed,

How did your R888's hold up without the camber plates? Looks like my first track day, at Spring Mountain, will have to be without camber plates. I have 285 and 295 Hoosiers on 18X10 wheels. I hope I won't ruin them.

I just looked at the camber plates, and a car in the showroom and there is no way these will bolt up. They are missing the inner 3 mounts for the strut brace.

Not at all surprised, was thinking they wouldn't work without fabrication. When oh when is someone going to come out with camber plates that will fit!?

I figured I'd take the gamble and order them. Turner sent me a return label asap so no big deal. Great customer support over there. I should of known right away they didn't when the box said fits "F81" lol

Holding up surprisingly well. Have about 18 heat cycles and around 2000 street miles on them. Still some tread left, although front left is getting close to gone. Shoulders/walls are very stiff and have not rolled over too bad. I shoot for 34-36 psi hot which is about 26-28 cold.

Hoosiers also have a stiff wall so they'll work too. Depends what you like. I must say I've been using the new R7 on my E36 and have been very impressed. Have around 20 heat cycles and haven't noticed much drop off yet. Got to get them hot for them to stick good, around 3 laps but can stay out the whole session without them getting greasy.

I talked to TC Kline about his youtube videos and his coilover suspension. He used Hoosier 275 square and he said that after about 7 laps the rear would get hot and greasy. At the front he had 3.5 degrees of camber and that the M4 loves lots of camber. TC is coming out with camber plates for passive suspension very soon but I'm not sure if they will work on adaptive.

I like his setup and would be leaning towards his CoilOvers if I was purchasing today. Doesn't surprise my about the rears, challenging getting the power down on corner exit. Car needs a softer rear sway bar, or maybe just remove it if using stiffer CO springs. Has worked on previous gen M cars.
