Aftermarket repair shop in Vancouver / Richmond BC?

Hello,

Do you know of a good non-BMW dealer service shop in the Vancouver / Richmond area, for repairing / servicing my E46? Thanks.

Reviving a really old post...but now I know the answer...

People seem to recommend CG Motorsports (Richmond - http://www.cgmotorsports.com/). Also try out Nixon Automotive (Burnaby - http://www.nixonautomotive.com/).

I agree - Nixon and CG are good. Scan Automotive in North Vancouver is worth the trip as well. I have also heard good things about Edelweiss too in Surrey.

Ole-Timer Secret

Over the last few years I've had Koosha at BimmerHaus look after my '87 528e.

I bought her a few years ago and have yet to breach $1k in repairs/maintenance. The guy's pretty straight about what you need, what you can get away with, and what can wait a while. And, yes, she runs like a dream.

I highly recommend cg Motorsports in Richmond. They take care of all my cars, and have done an excellent job over the 6 years I've used them.

A-1 Unity Auto

I have used Nixons and did not have a great experience. They charged me more than double the original quote, instead of charging for 15 minutes of labor I was charge for a whole hour. I now use A-1 Unity Auto @ 1420 Howe St. Vancouver, BC. I saved $100. on a job that Nixons charge $168 to do. Go see Mo.

I had bad experience with Nixons too, they over charge me and I email them after, they credit me back 20% off.

Beware of German Auto Sports

German Auto Sports is run by shop manager Al Larson.

He is a well known con-man and theif in the local and online BMW community.

He has stolen from dozens and dozens of victims over the years amounting to several thousands of dollars for everything from carpet sets that were paid for and never sent to mechanical work that was shoddy at best and totally un-needed. He has also taken payment for mechanical work that was never performed.

A quick google search for the name "Al Larson" or his former businesses "Seams Perfect" and "Classic Image" all return many hits for people who were bilked by Al over the years. He changes the name to German Auto Sports, but the bad ways still continue to this day.

BUYER BEWARE!!! STAY AWAY FROM GERMAN AUTO SPORTS AND AL LARSON!

I've had good experiences with Nixon. They weren't going to charge me 2 hours of labor when they came across an issue caused by a separate company that they had to diagnose / repair.

Would recommend again.

Looking for the best and affordable BMW car repair shop can be difficult. No dealer or spares shop can have such comprehensive lists at the click of a button.
