Hydro dipping?

Not been on for a while.

Just looking for anyone who's had any experience with hydro dipping

Been thinking about getting my standard Msport diffuser hydro dipped in carbon fibre.

Was also thinking about the kidney grills too but they want £80 and I can just but the performance ones for that

Thanks

I had a shot at doing it myself with a kit I bought off ebay but kept cocking it up so just gave up in the end.

From what I've seen, looks like it would come out quite well if somebody competent did it

You will end up with a better finish than wrapping and you can do more complex curves with a good finish. I would charge around £40-£50 for front grilles,

Someone I work with does it as a little side line.
He's pretty good at it, and everything he's shown me is all perfect work wise, but I just can't help but think that it just doesn't look very good

A place called rade customs in manchester. Found them through a friend on Instagram. I'm just worried about it chipping at the front and maybe heat damage from the exhausts at the back?

£100 for the rear diffuser

The rear diffuser should be ok from the heat tbh as it should be lacquered so would be the same as if painted.

The same on the front grilles so I wouldn't worry about it chipping off

I had my rear diffuser done. I wouldnt do a main part that is very visible but for where the diffuser is the hydro dipping works a treat

I think I will go for the diffuser and maybe some performance grills.

Have you got any pics of your diffuser Shaun?

I was thinking about the interior trim aswell but it would annoy me if the ash tray lid didn't match up with the weave pattern on the main piece.

It looks really good once lacquered

Anything not flat looks rubbish, and I'm not sure it looks very good anyway.
