X-Files
Just read an article on theverge.com (below) that says Fox is trying to reboot X-Files! Who remembers that show? Did you watch it or like it? Would you be excited to see new episodes on TV again?
Article: Deadline reports that Fox is trying to put all the pieces in place for a revival of The X-Files, the long-running sci-fi series (and occasional rom-com) following the adventures of Fox Mulder and Dr. Dana Scully. The biggest challenge, apparently, is not interest from all the key parties — Mulder's David Duchovny, Scully's Gillian Anderson, and series creator Chris Carter would participate — but rather scheduling problems: everyone is wrapped up in other projects, and Duchovny and Anderson are both presently starring in shows on other networks. The original series ran for nine seasons (several without Duchovny's participation) and led to two films, the most recent of which was released in 2008. It's unclear exactly what form a new X-Files could take, but Fox may simply be riding high off the success of 24's recent return. For fans of the show, I think we can all agree that the most recent movie, I Want to Believe, was not the best way to tie a bow on the franchise. Another season or two with Carter's guiding hand — hopefully with The Lone Gunmen* — could help atone for that film's misses. *Vox Media support manager Chao Li reminds me that The Lone Gunmen died, but they're The Lone Gunmen — anything is possible. |

I'd like to see a reboot but I'd want to see Duchovny and Anderson in it. I could see this series doing well today.
Fun fact: I worked as a background extra on the show

I loved that show. I was a bigger fan of the "monster of the week" type episodes than the government conspiracy/secret society/smoking man etc arc.
Also who saw the movie in '08? It was pretty creepy y'all. |

Just finished watching "The Fall" with Gillian Anderson. She looks amazingly different today and the show was very good. Two seasons are available on Netflix, would love to see her back on X Files, it was a great show.

I saw a photo (that I downloaded with a modem) that clearly was a bad job of cropping her head on a nude body. It upset me for a while, but then I kept singing "Centerfold" and it became OK.

An X-Files revival would be awesome and would do very well. With today's affects and great writers, they could really bring some interesting things to the table. |

Was addicted to X-Files. Until David Duchovny left. Then it wasn't the same.

I too used to love the show. I remember talking to my Sister in law after every episode as we were both X files geeks.
I had the same moments for Gillian as UncleWede |
