Removing tint
So this may be one of the more not so smart questions ever asked, but I am removing my tints on my car because I am over the whole black everywhere on a car. Is it possible to take of the factory tint as well? Or is that actually ingrained in the glass itself?
thanks, Joe

There are lots of YouTube videos explaining this. There is also no factory tint except on the SUVs.
Be careful removing the rear windshield tint so as to not peel the defroster strips with it. Last edited by dbworld4k; 01-23-2015 at 11:26 AM.. |

I would just pay a tint place to remove the film. They really don't charge all that much and it would be crazy to destroy the rear defrosters in trying to save a few dollars.

They actually do charge alot to remove the tint because it's quite time consuming removing all of the remaining glue.

I used a clothing steamer to remove the tint on my car. I kept the 35% on the rear windshield or whatever it's called in fear of messing up the defrosters and I am seriously happy about the results. Really take your time.
