Which of these would fit an F80 with steel brakes?

The rear fitment is not appropriate unless you want to go with a 10 inch rear wheel
In that case, Front 9.5 et22 Rear 10 et25 I would not recommend this fitment. Not enough wheel width in the rear. Wait for proper fitments to be made by apex |

I talked to them a few weeks ago and they told me an 11" rear figment was quite a ways off.I ended up going with f14 Forgestars in 10 & 11's after pushing my local wheel guy to talk to them.I think a staggered track setup will be the way to go with the F8x with the extra torque it has over the E92 M3

I run a 285 re11 on a 10.5 et35 rear wheel and at stock heights there isn't exactly a lot of clearance. No way this wheel will fit without major modifications to the fender. And even then, it will look ridiculous |

Correct the tabs on the pads hit the barrel of the wheel. It was time to take those wheels out of track duty as they have over 60 days on them on both my previous E92 M3.When we were racing we would cycle the wheels after about 50 hours use but of course that was dictated by our wheel sponsor.

I'm taking delivery of my F82 at the end of the month. The car is equipped with the factory 19" wheels. Living in the N/E I need a winter set up but, would really like a hybrid arrangement where I could use the same wheels for track use. I know, apples and oranges but, considering I would only be driving the car in very light snow conditions I was thinking of using Apex EC-7s 8X9 et 31 and 8X10 et43. These wheels are very close to the stock 18" wheel fitment of 8X9 et29 and 8X10 et 40. I would run Michelin Pilot Alpin PA2s in 255/40/18 and 265/40/18 in winter. For the track: same wheels but, Hankook Ventus R-S3 in 265/40RZ18 and 285/35RZ18. Jack of all trades maybe not master of any one but, adequate for both. Also, when the 19" PSSs wear out I could run the 18" PSSs on these APEX EC-7s for the street both as a cheaper option and better ride quality over the OEs. What do you folks think?

Ok so what I am reading is that there really isn't a good option from Apex right now at all.

i was hoping they'd have been able to slightly retool or shave ~15mm off the hub area of their existing 11" et25 wheel, but for whatever reason, that seems not to be the case. not enough material, inadequate brake clearance, whatever. APEX, PLEASE MAKE US WHEELS SOON!!!

I now have 4 Apex EC-7 10X18 et43 wheels. I plan to run 285/30 Hoosiers in the front with a 15mm spacer. In the rear I will run 295/30 Hoosiers until Apex comes out with an 11" wheel. Then I will run a 315/30 in the rear. A friend had wheels machined for his M4 with 10X18 ET29 for the front and 11X18 ET44 for the rear. I rode with him at Sonoma when he had R888 in sizes 285 front and 315 rear and there was no rubbing at all. The Apex ET43 wheels show up in the main part of their site under EC-7 wheels. If you go to the F80 area it doesn't show this wheel the last time I checked.
Off subject a bit, does anyone know who makes camber plates for the M4 adaptive suspension? Apparently it is different than the standard suspension. TMS has plates for the standard suspension. Also off subject since apparently I can't start a new thread for some reason: On long sweeping high G right turns, will we still have problems with fuel starvation below half a tank full with this new M4? |

No fuel starve on F8X. BMW has come a long way since the E36.

TMS had no idea when they might have the plates for adaptive suspension. I did leave an email with K-mac who supplies TMS but haven't heard anything yet. I'm hoping TC Kline has plates for adaptive soon. I know that he will be releasing plates for the standard susspension very soon.

I'm pretty confident that the 10.5 x 18 ET27 will fit, although it will be tight. Will probably need some extra camber to be safe.
Regarding camber plates, the main reason the F30 camber plates won't work is because there are no holes tapped for the strut brace. The F80 has three holes in the strut hat for the strut brace. I don't even think the KMAC ones support this. On the other hand, I don't see why having/not having EDC effects whether or not the camber plates fit.

18x10ET25 seem to be good without spacers. 18x10ET33 also seem to work with 5mm spacers in front. See here. |

I submitted an inquiry on the GB. Apex responded to me that there is no solution for the F80 in the ARC-8 series.
Kudos to them for responding to me about concerns. |
