Accident Aftercare Card

Received a letter in the post this morning with an Accident Aftercare card attached - seems to offer free help in the event of an accident.

Free loan car (equivalent to your own car) for the duration of repair if the accident is not your fault.

Free loan car for 48hrs if it was your fault

BMW do all the negotiation with your insurance company and the 3rd party insurance company.

Not bad for free!

Anyone else had one or am I the last person to receive it?

Yep, I got one from Dick Lovett about 2 months ago. Don't know how useful it'll be (not that I want to find out!).

I received a card which has the supplying dealer and "BMW Service Accident Aftercare". Of course I forgot about the card I had for the previous car (despite checking with the sales guys when buying the car that they would cover the new one) when I had the numpty in the 320d rear-end me and the new card arrived about 2 days later.

Isn't it just a blatant attempt by the dealer to make you use their bodyshop in the event of an accident?

Without a doubt. But that's business today.

Add the fact that my insurer would place the car there anyway and they do good work and I'm not bothered by it.

I got a card too but I doubt if i will send the car to Chandlers, Hailsham from Belfast
