How come you didn't download the free version of BMWhat first? That way you can test that things work before stumping up the £35 for the full version.

I have what appears to be the same OBD dongle though and it works fine on my iPhone6, so I wonder if you have a faulty dongle?

It does say on their site that some 2007 models can't code via the Apple App

see below. You may want to email their support for a definitive answer to this Jack

Then i think you is Fooked me ole mucker! If you have an old Android phone they may swap your purchase over to the Android, but you will still need to buy the cable version.

I keep an old Android for just this very purpose!

Bad news mate, not a cheap mistake. Give them a sob story on the email and they may swap you!

It seems best operation in general is on Android and bluetooth dongle.

It might be as others suggested swapping to a Android version.

I've been using this dongle since 2012 no issues on number of E60s E9x and F30s.

Working it IT, i personally would never trust a Wireless or Bluetooth connection if i am flashing firmware in a Router/PC/Firewall, and my thoughts on flashing a Car module are just the same. I have bricked a few routers in my time as the wireless connection failed mid flash!!!!

I ALWAYS use a cabled connection For the sake of a few squid go cable!!!

Just my take on it, and i know 100's successfully use Bluetooth, but..........??

Why don't you just buy the USB lead and Dongle from BMWhat direct? Might be a little bit more, but you will be in no DOUBT that it will work, and if it does not you have their support to help you out!

Ask their support guys as well? They do get back to you and are quite helpful!

LOL

It's very easy to use. It is important though to get the right bluetooth OBD device. I have the orange one shown here and it's OK for some of the coding, but only reads about 50% of what's there. I'm going to get their BT unit.
