CF Goodies

Treated myself to some more Performance parts for my e92. OEM Performance Splitter and Spoiler. Will have to wait maybe for better weather to fit the spoiler

Haha almost. Buying both at the same time reduced the cost and got free delivery from Germany.

I bought some performance mirror covers off Acerboo when I first got the car. When they arrived I noticed how well made they were and fitment is 100% spot on. Since then It's hard to go back to back to stuff where the fitment isn't as good. So I'm blaming Acerboo for this spending spree haha!!

Finally got round to getting my Front splitter fitted and my performance exhaust. I think I'm going to wait for better weather to fit the spoiler as I want to get a strong bond from the 3m tape.

iPhone pics only I'm afraid

lol.

I agree though, in all my years modding I've always tried to stick with OE parts where possible or very reputable aftermarket suppliers. Going cheap has always ended with paying double.

There is a rep splitter on ebay that comes in primer, perfect for painting.

Rear diffuser was bought from BMW, then given to local bodyshop. The front splitter is OEM carbon fibre one. I got the last one from a seller on German ebay AFAIK. If you want the link to the rep splitter its in the thread above but is for LCI bumpers

How did you get carbon inserts in the middle of the rear diffuser ? As I thought the original didn't come with carbon inserts ?

Correct, original one doesn't come with a carbon insert but you can buy one for the OEM performance diffuser.

SSDD do a very good replica one which is the one I have. I looked at the one from BMW and couldn't spot much difference. Very good weave match on the rep.

Oh so BMW do a carbon insert too ?
My next question was how does the weave match BMW parts but you say you can't notice th difference which is good

BMW do a carbon insert but is roughly £400+. It is a complete replacement part for the fin section that sits in the middle. The one I bought from SSDD goes over your existing fin section and bolts on the bottom, I used a bit of 3m tape too. I'm pretty anal about fitment and quality and the SSDD part is great, the weave isnt an exact match but its close.
