Rear diffuser or this??

My M235i AW convertible is awaiting EPA clearance in New Jersey.
In the meantime I am considering adding the performance rear diffuser expressly as I don't like the all black lower bumper that much. I have an idea though, the 228 has a painted lower bumper and I like that look just fine. Can somebody please photoshop this picture for me and make the black part all white? I have a feeling that this would be just fine.

Here is the performance bumper w/diffuser

Thanks in advance!

Like the Standard grey glass fiber insert.
Think the diffuser looks too busy on the convertible , but I do like the diffuser.
Dislike the all body color bumper .

Most important is what you like.
Love the idea of a convertible M235, I thought the 128 convertible was amazing.

If you are thinking about getting a 228 diffuser keep in mind that the 228 does not support dual exhausts. You could just paint the diffuser that comes with your 235. Personally I prefer the MP diffuser

A huge THANK YOU for that picture, maybe I might wait until the car comes in to see what it actually looks like in the flesh. With AW there seems to be a huge contrast with the dark gray. This really looks plain though. Thanks again.

I personally found that the Autoplus diffuser looked better than anything BMW has made thus far. By far.

That last one is sick!

I think I may do a dual exit exhaust on my m sport 228i like the m235..I like it a lot...now to decide if it's worth the money on a leased car....

I think the rear bumper is one area where the designers messed up on this car. The big plain dark gray area just doesn't work in my opinion.

You can always do a wrap to break up all that body color paint in the back.

That rear end looks great, what parts were wrapped, just the black? I guess I really need to see the new bumper first to determine if there are any accent lines or creases to follow. My local dealer doesn't have an M235i to look at. I might be able to paint the bumper AW and wrap some black like this. Nice job!!

My car is a 228 Sport Line, not a 235. The only part wrapped (CF vinyl) on the back is the lower bumper area that would have been the diffuser on a 235. You'll notice there is an accent line in the middle of the wrapped area right below the standard black trim. They just wrapped right over it and I think it makes the wrapped part look even better. I used the same CF vinyl on the mirror caps. The spoiler is the OEM CF spoiler. The black trim between the reflectors is standard on the Sport Line. Also swapped out the badge for matte black.

If VO was available as a color on my 235, I would have ordered it.
Thanks for the pics.
