Can you code the window from coming up everytime you shut your door?

This may sound stupid as I am sure the window will hit the door frame without that feature, but it ruined my window tint twice now because the bottom started peeling up do to the window moving up every time I shut my door...not sure if I have any options here.

In regards to your question, the door won't close if the window isn't stepped down.

I saw this happen at a dealership where the battery ran dead flat while the door was shut (and window all the way up). When we opened the door to get out of the car, we couldn't shut the door again because the window didn't wind itself down due to the completely flat battery. The door physically wouldn't shut properly, as the glass was preventing it from closing.

While the door is open, your tint guy should be manually flicking the door lock on the end of the door to trick the car into winding the window UP while the door is open, and applying the tint while the window is fully up.... But I assume he's already doing that.

I too had my driver's side tint lift up at the very bottom due to the auto-window-shuffle-thing. When my tint guy re-did the tint, he cut the new piece of tint a tiny bit longer and spent extra time pushing down past the felt to adhere the tint to the glass, and then spent extra time with the hairdryer to assist in the initial adhesion.
