It did not light up the shifter trim. Only the knob. I actually have a shifter trim for sale with the prnds deleted for a cleaner look.

Thats optional. I used mine for a long time without cutting the stem but ultimately cut the stem. Im willing to trade my cut one for your stock one if you want.
