That isn't right at all. Have you checked to see if the rear lights are in correct? Maybe it has LCI lights in at one point

definately nor sitting right mate. dont understand why it would be out of place unless somebody has fiddled with it before and the only reason i can think the boot would have been removed or replaced is if it was in an accident??

i know what you mean the roof is all connected to the boot. any good garage should be able to realign it.

having seen the 1st pic I'd say its the lamp area that's taken a hit, what's the gap like on the top front of the boot lid? need to see all gaps on the lid both sides bottom bumper and top

1/4 panel lights at bottom edge also not lining up correctly with bumper. Looks like incorrect lights possibly e92 or accident repair or both !

Have you tried loosening the light cluster & repositioning them, could just be out slightly. Looks like the top right of the cluster is sticking out and the inside is too far in

I would look at the lights first. Either way look in the boot and take all the lining off - 10min job. I would of done this when viewing the car tbh.

i dont think it can be the lights because if you see the pic, the lights are in line with bootlid. if they need to be pushed forward to line with quarter then there will be a gap in between the lights on the bootlid and the bootlid line.

not sure if this makes sense

i personally think it needs to come off all together and put on properly. but scared to give it to normal repair garage as its convertible so may be more complicated
It is possible to fit lights incorrectly. I've learnt from experience when fitting several LCI lights to e92/e93. There are 3 long bolts which are used to adjust the fitment.

The boot is fine, it's clearly the outer light units sitting too far in if you look at the bottom of the outer light cluster.

The boot lid is flush with the panel running under the lights..

Get those lights off & adjust the fittings..

I have an e93 myself and the inner wings inside the boot have a reinforced channel running round the inner wing of the quarter panel on each rear wing, speaking from experience it looks like the o/s side lamp area has taken damage and maybe deformed the channel a little resulting in the lamp not fitting correctly, you could try adjusting the lamp alternatley have look at the other side taking measurements and compare for any differences.

That's definitely the outer light cluster that is off. Where the light cluster meets the inner light on the bootlid you can see it's pushed in. The bootlid looks fine tbh.

First job is remove the outer cluster and check the gasket is there and the fitment.

The gaps now there because you've pushed the cluster out using washers etc. tbh the problem with that is there is probably a gap behind the cluster now and water will ingress there.

Is the other side correctly lined up? If so use that as a reference
