Hi, I have an 07. And these have never been changed on my car, It has 110,000km. What are the symptoms that lead people to believe these need to be changed?

The solenoids often get all gunked up and sticky after time, and when that happens, typically the car will throw a bunch of codes. Apparently it is a fairly common problem with our cars, there are lots of threads on the issue.

Garage List
Some symptoms include bouncing idle RPM's and being down on power. When mine went the idle RPM would drop to ~450-500 then bounce all the way up past 1000. I have a N52 so I can't speak about a 335i

you'll get a code if you need to change it; quick simple 5 minutes job. I have a N52 and one needed to be replaced at 180,000k; I'm at 240k now
