If you have pre LCI car then you have push/ pull on both paddles.

LCI / DCT paddles have right for + and left for -

You both shifters are same.
From the memory when you push, it downshifts.
When you pull it upshifts.

But both paddles does the same job unlike LCI cars which have upshift on right hand paddle and downshift on left hand paddle.

Yeah, as another auto owner, pull towards on either paddle for up shift. Away from you for downshift. Simples.

Not necessarily...
I have a 2009 LCI 330D E91 Auto MSport and it has +/- on both sides.

If only you could code this differently, both my paddles work the same.

Individual paddle shifts came in around 2010 (along with the modified heater panel)
It is relatively simple to change the +/- (earlier) type for the later type paddles - or M3 paddles if you prefer.
To change the later type to the earlier is not as simple as the new type use pull-up resistors rather than just plain switches.

I should have said
'LCI paddle shifters' than LCI cars

I really want to change my car to a '10' LCI so I get the new nav and the updated paddles. The thing is I'd probably only get £6k for my car and the ones I want are more like £16k which is a lot of money considering there is nothing wrong with my car. So I might just go for something a year newer that is auto and fit the LCI paddles, if I was going to do this what sort of money would I be looking at?
