Brake pad replacement advice needed

Hi all - just need a bit of advice regarding the replacement of the rear brake pads on my 330d e92.

They are quite low but the idrive says they have 11000 miles left... No chance! Bmw website says 169 to replace but I can get pads for 30 odd from euro car parts... Would there be any issues with me just buying the pads and getting them fitted at a local garage? Do bmw need to do anything special once they have been replaced a local place couldn't do? Lastly what's the deal regarding the wear sensors? Do I need to replace these? Do the tears have a sensor or each calliper as they only seem to come in singles

Thanks

I believe they'll just have one sensor at the rear, they're cheap less than a tenner so replace that whilst you have the pads done.

And no it's a simple job to change the pads.

As far as I know you can get them replaced in any decent garage but I would go for new sensors. There have been lots of people on here saying that they didn't change the sensors when they still looked ok and then had to go back and change them afterwards because they errored after the brakes were put back together again.

I'm sure someone with more knowledge will come along shortly.

change at your local garage...its a simple job
sensors are reusable if they didn't engage but due to harsh conditions when removed from the pad they break so for ease just get a new one...only 1 needed
