Sounds like your brakes need bleeding. There are probably air bubbles in the system. Take it to the dealership, it is a an easy fix.

My brakes are the same... soft first 1cm and then strong. I've changed fluid and bled twice for track days and it is the same. I personally like a firmer pedal but braking is still strong. Given how little the pedal travels while being soft (say 1/2") and then brakes well and I've bled my brakes several times, I think it is simply how the brakes were designed to promote smooth modulation.

P.S. If you do take it in and they find something else, please let us know

When i first got the car, the brake pedal felt much firmer then now. Although the brakes still grabs hard, I hate the feeling of a soft brake pedal, hopefully bleeding will fix the issue.

i will update you if anything

After some aggressive back roading, many hard stops and oh crap did that cop see me situations I was feeling a little softness in the pedal, did a quick bleed and boom; pedal feels like brand new. It's an easy job to do yourself.

i notice my pedal go from firm to quite soft during a track session... one lap it was great and coming into a hard braking zone the next time it went considerably deeper. didn't seem to resolve either after some brake management. i noticed the brake fill nipple/valves were leaking slightly (fluid level in reservoir appeared unchanged) but wonder if that had something to do with it. i tightened them all down and bled the brakes at the end of the day. the next day they felt roughly the same. not quite sure what's going on but i think i'm going to try and do a more thorough bleed and see if that helps.... i sold my last track car when something similar happened so i hope this gets fixed because i love this car but a soft pedal makes me rather distraught.
