I know, right! car scene gets pretty out of control here once it slips through the tight fingers of organizers and regulators

No man, I am beginning to hate it. To attend such events I need to drive for 2 hours and then get stuck in traffic for 5 hours on the way back while overpaying for fuel and dishing out ridiculous amount on tolls.

For the rare time that there is no traffic the speed limits are so low it gets dangerous as you can easily pass out.

basically, I will trade it for SoCal any day
If anything, you have In n Out

Yeah, I've been stuck in LA traffic a few times... moves along faster than in Japan...

you also have better detours. I once was stuck on westbound 405 going from OC to Malibu, took the exit, had a doughnut (at Randy's) made my way towards Hollywood Bvd and took the most scenic and beatiful route right down to Malibu. Try to take detours in Japan and you gonna be stuck even worse!

plus when you pay equivalent of 20 bux for tolls and shit is not moving, that's what gets me the best of me.

yeah, they the culture is very diverse, there is a lot going on, but you have to dig for it. it's a bit less "in-your-face" than in the US.
