Shop recommendations in Chicago
I just moved to the Loop and need a good mechanic nearby. I use Anthony at A&L and gear heads in glenellyn but both places are a bit too far. Can someone make a recommendation?

Welcome to the 312! I live in South Loop
I've used A-Spec in Schaumburg and Bavarian Motors just west of downtown. |

I've gone to both A-Spec and LukeG. I heard that A-Spec is undergoing some changes and that they are not open for business at the moment until they reopen with a new name. And LukeG is legit. Not sure if he's any closer to you since he's not far from Glen Ellyn.

I had used A-Spec and was very disappointing.
Therefore I recoment these two: Fast Lane in Albany Park, Alex 773 965 7305 and BTR in Evanston, Bart 312 560 1563 Awesome people! Good luck. |

Ive been using bavarian for my E39 M5 for a couple years now. They treated it well so far. Im new to my E90 and hope I dont need a mechanic for a while. Also I am not sure if they do performance work or not.

After some recommendations from post members I ended up taking my car to Luke Gronski in Lombard. He pretty much replaced my entire suspension with Koni yellows, new shock and strut mounts, sway bar bushings, control arms, etc etc you get the picture. Luke did an awesome job and I would recommend him to anyone. He's a true BMW enthusiast as well, and you can tell he has a love for the brand and takes pride in his work.
