Yesterday I had the car in "Sport" and when my speed reached around 15 mph, it reverted back to Comfort and stayed there. I can toggle between Eco, Comfort, Sport and Sport+ while at a complete stop, however it will continue to default back to Comfort on its own.

I searched the archives here, but no luck. Has anyone experienced this, or have any ideas what's happening before I stop into a BMW Service Center?

Thanks.

Specs:
335i M Sport with Dynamic Handling Package (7/13 build).

I don't think anyone will have any reasonable advice besides bring it in. My only recommendation would be to disconnect the battery terminal for about 20 minutes or so to see if that resets the problem.

I figured it might be far fetched since nobody here has reported the issue. Likely just a minor software-related bug that is triggering a fault. I plan to bring it in on Tuesday and will report back. Thanks.

sounds a bit like what I ran into last year. It was faulty wiring under the shift knob. see below:

Thanks @vip - appreciate the insight here. By chance, was your car built in SA?

I stopped into the dealer today. They speculated it might be a faulty switch. Didn't have time leave it for full a diagnosis so I set an appointment for after the New Year. I will ask them to check the wiring or TSB database for further information.

I ran into the same issue after I got a TPMS alert. I could only switch from Comfort to Sport after I added air and reset TPMS.

If TPMS wasn't part of your situation, I would hope it's just some faulty sensor or wiring quick fix at the dealer.

Just wanted to update the thread in case anyone is curions. I'm not running TMPS in my winter setup. Therefore, dash light is always on. I reset TPMS i iDrive and the drive mode switch functions just fine now. Problem solved!
