Remove Top Speed limiter

I opened the car up the other day and it fell flat on its face at 130MPH because of the Top speed limiter. Anyone have any info on removing it? Can it be done by coding with E-sys? BMS makes a delimiter but its not for the N55. I wish the JB4 could do it, it would be a nice option to have. I did not realize my car was going to come with all season Run-flats. I would have changed to the MPSS. From what I understand if you get X-drive you automatically get the all season tires.

Can only be done by reflashing the ECU. I drove around the autobahn at 135+ mph, and it really isn't safe to go that fast on US highways... to each his own, I guess.

Hopefully BMS will come up with something like they did for the N54.

There is a old airfield with a nice long runway very close to home no people or other vehicles there top speed is easily achieved.

Yes mine also said that, But you get the all seasons automatically because of the x-drive. What still angers me is the runflat tires are actually rated for 186 Mph so why not limit it at 155Mph like the others.

Speed Limiter

I have a '15 M235Xi with the summer tire option. The build sheet shows the speed limiter is changed to 155 with this option.

you don`t need a new ecu anymore. tuners like manhart, lightweight etc can all do it without the need of a new ecu.
