bmw e90 awd disabled!

i got a 2007 bmw 328xi, several weeks ago i got 4x4.abs.brake.dtc lights on just like yours. We thought it was the VTG motor which is like 700 from BMW, replaced it but now we see DSC fault...fault code internal transfer case 5f39....i dont know why the lights didnt go away even after clearing it and replacing the motor...so we are thinking the transfer case is bad..my question is would reprogramming help? the software on this car is very old as told by bmw tech...finally if its the transfer case that is bad would the fault code be the same as the motor 5f39? thanks alot

if programming does not help, i will have to find a user transfer case i guess...
