Could you see the deficiency in the clip design?

I think its more of deficiency in wheel design. I owned an E36, E39 and E90 and never lost a single one.

I only saw one white M235i when I was in Sydney last November. Was that you?

Fair call, same cap used in some other BMW rims.

No it wasn't I have a MR. M235 is quite scarce in Sydney. Other than 2 others in a recent meet, I haven't seen another on the road. In fact 2ers in general are quite scarce

That's cause you never watch where you are driving Jaff so it's not a surprise.

Update from dealer:

BMW Australia are not aware of any common issue with this and so no free replacement. Typical BMWGA

Luckily, they had 1 in stock and charged me cost supposedly. $22.09

I took the other one out and put them both back in after putting some electrical tape around the prongs. Snug fit now, so hopefully, problem solved.

Trivett replaced mine and checked the others without hesitation when I brought my car in without notice. Which dealer has your business?

I called BMW Australia had told them about it and that the dealer wasn't covering the cost.

They called back the next day saying that they have instructed the dealer to supply a pair under warranty and credit me for the first one. Seems they have investigated and seen the noise about this amongst owners.

Anyone else have this happen on their M135 & M235 standard 18" 436M wheels need to contact BMW GA. More people that tell them, maybe they'll do something more than just replace the caps.
