Rubber trim peeling - need help!
So I just noticed yesterday that the rubber trim surrounding the front windshield is cracking and breaking off. Any idea if this can be bought separately and replaced without having to take off the windshield? If yes to both then where do I get this at a cheap price and is it an easy DIY or who can install this for me?
See pic below. |

Windsield rubber trim
I think this is a common problem with older models. See this link on how to replace it:
Bavauto sells a replacement. If you have a sedan, see the following part: 51 31 7 061 967 Good luck, should be a cheap and easy fix. I use this to stop the cracking from happening in the first place: http://www.z3bimmer.com/OffTopic/E24Bimmer/Gummi/ |

Thanks both of you above posters! Appreciate the quick response.
On a side note - Taran, I pm'd you a few weeks ago asking you questions on what's the best way to paint the plastic parts in the engine bay like you have done. I assume that you get a ton of PM's and so you missed it and couldn't respond. However any step by step info or tips are appreciated man. |
