Angry about missing rub strips
My 328i has avoided scratches and dents on its bumpers and doors thanks to the black rub strips. These were eliminated on the e90. Am I the only one who would like to have them back ? What is your experience with door dings in the e90 ?

Am I crazy or did I see a picture of an E90 with black trim around the bumpers?

Those black strips are the fugliest things in the entire world, no matter the car. Thank god they got rid of them in the facelifted e46 generation and in most cars in general. There's a reason for that.

Here's a pic showing black strips along the bumper. Half-way down the page:

Take extra special care in choosing where to park. Always look for a car that's in good condition, or park way the hell away. The extra minute it takes to walk pays off, both from a car owner and health viewpoint .
A lot of it's random luck, and so far I'm on a winning streak. Hopefully it stays that way. *crosses fingers*
