335 E92 base vs. E92 spt pkg
I tried searching but couldn't find the answer. I have a 335 coupe on order without the sport package and I some few questions about the sport package. btw I am not getting the sport package since I plan on swapping of the RFT tires and rims, I am small guys seats do not affect me though I am concerned about lack of an oil cooler but I am not a track guy.
1) If the 335/328i have sport suspension standard but the sport package changes the tires on the car from all-season to performance. If I get the sport package car can I put same size 17 inch non-sport package tire/rims on the car? I am only asking because I live upstate NY and I do not want performance tires. has anybody got rid of their stock rims to go non-rft with smaller rim on sport pkg car? 2) How many miles should I expect out of the stock sport and non-sport tires? just a concerned 335 to be owner. thanks. |

The suspension is the same, this includes brakes etc. so yes all E9X wheels are interchangeable regardless of a sp package being present or not.

I have the stock 17 in all season and have over 20k on the original tires with at least another 5k - 10k left. I rotate my tires to maximize tread life since base model cars do not have staggered wheels. The performance tires should wear a bit faster b/c of the softer compound.
Since the e90 platform comes standard with 16", as long as you maintain correct tire sizing and TPMS sensors, you should be able to run 17" - a lot of people do this for snow tires. |

Thanks for the answer. I was just confused because tirerack.com doesn't give option for 17'' rims and tires for sport pkg equipped 335i coupe. Dumb question how does different size rim in the rear and front help?

What about the handling on the OEM non sport tires? I'm considering non-sport because I plan on driving on dirt/ gravel roads in the future, and my High performance RFT's on my e90 slide around pretty badly on it.
Will the all-seasons be better on unpaved roads? Will they suck ass on the highway?
