People parking too close!

This is more of a rant than anything else. Just picked up my 335xi, don't even have 40 miles on it...and I park in a lot for work..pick out a spot that is the last spot in a row, the firelane is next to it, so big no parking signs right next to my spot..I assume that is the best place to park.

So, somebody in a minivan parks within 2 inches of my door, so close I can't even get it open, with that vehicle in the fire lane, right in front of the no parking sign. Gotta wonder if the guy wanted to park right next to me because he was jealous of the car and decided to go out of his way to park in an illegal spot so he could do that...or just had no respect for the spot being a fire lane spot.

My friend with a Porsche calls his car the "car magnet"
He will park at the far end of the lot where there is no one else parked anywhere near and inevitably someone will park right next to him.

Taking the sweet spots

Sorry to hear about your parking woes. At my workplace, I snapped the following picture one morning. Gotta love us BMW owners taking all the sweet spots.

Funny thing I just noticed the picture features an E90, E92, and E93. Covered all bases. Well, almost -- no E91. Guess we need to hire someone with an E91.

AHH even better, If it is a government issued car, there will be a number someplace on it, bumper or window possibly, if not just get the licens plate and take note of what department it is from (should say on the front door) then you can call and register a complaint and whoever is responsible for that car that day will get reamed by their supervisors and possibly repremanded/ticketed.

I think everyone has had the problem of someone parking too close to them at one point or another. I actually witnessed a guy in a minivan park within a few inches of my car (i was also parked in the corner at the back of a lot which had plenty of other open spots). I yelled at him and he moved to another spot lol

nice pic!

what i usually do is park THE FARTHEST away possible, then if someone parks by you you know they are fucking with you. LIKE today; at lunch, i stopped at target to get some protein bars. I park so far away and yet when i came out 2 cars parked right by me. WTF?????????

another tip. park next to a curb and park very close to it; that way you only have to worry about one side and if u park close enough to it, the person parking next to you will def have enough room.

Happened to me the other day when I was at WalMart. Parked at the back of the parking lot, no cars for 100 yards.

Come back with my tire cleaner and there's a white 1980s Datsun beater right next to me. I seriously hate that shit.

This reinforces the "Car Magnet" theory.

See I think doing something like this is only going to end badly. The guy obviously doesn't care about his 'company' car, and clearly wants to make a point. Theres nothing to stop him from coming back, all pissed, after having been reamed/ticketed, and doing something WORSE than just parking too close. Sure people will say, ok let him vandalize my car, then you can call the cops. But seriously you would have no leg to stand on, no proof that he did it.
Take it for what it was, someone being an ass. It has happened to us all.
I just look my car over real good, make sure they didn't ding the door, and leave it at that.
