Madison/Milwaukee/Chicago-area Repair Shop?
My car was parked on the street last week when we had our first snow. A car hit the back of my car and pushed it in to the car parked in front of mine. Luckily she left her insurance information on my windshield.
Her insurance company said they could send someone to come look at it but it may not be until the end of next week. Alternatively, I can go to a body shop and have them document the damages and provide an estimate to the insurance company which is the route I'm going to take so I don't have to wait. Can anyone recommend a good shop in Madison? |

Bump.
Does anyone know a place that would replace the bumpers with M3 rep bumpers? I'd also be open to a shop in the Milwaukee area as I'm in the Milwaukee area frequently. Thanks! Last edited by bloppitybloop; 12-02-2014 at 07:08 AM.. |

Abra in New Berlin near Milwaukee did paint on my AW e36 and I have seen the work they have done on other euro's. The owner is a big Mustang guy and frequents track days at Road America. I also have a very good friend who works there. For being a chain collision center they have impressed me.

+1 for A&L. I didn't have body work, but they were great to deal with for some suspension repairs.
Also, you could just have the insurance company give you a check for whatever they determine is the amount of the damage, and then just order the bumpers you want and have a shop paint/install them. |

On the phone they told me to have my bumpers shipped there and I didn't need to make an appointment. I can just drop my car off at anytime. The bumpers look like they'll arrive tomorrow.
Do you know if there's a best time of the day/week to drop it off? |

I already got it taken care of awhile ago at A&L in Palatine. It was a 2 hour drive but they did a good job. It was nearly impossible to find a shop around here to install replica bumpers.
