Pre-LCI Halogen Upgrade
I have been in the market for some new headlights for a while and recently found out all of the tabs on my housings are broken off-so I'm looking to purchase some asap. I was looking into aftermarket ones such as Spyder, Sonar, CG, Anzo and Spec-D. But I've been unable to find much good about any of them.
So I did some looking and noticed that I can most likely get some e92/e90 LCI xenons on eBay one per auction for a realistic price. From what I've found I believe any year will work? Also-i know that the whole retrofit kit is around $1500- how much more would I be looking at without including the assembly price (ballasts, bulbs etc). Since the car is only a 2006 the value has dropped quite a bit so I'm not looking to spend too much. Would I be better off getting an aftermarket bixenon kit w/ cancelers? If so does anyone have any recommended brands or places to purchase? |

E90 LCI halogens will be plug and play and you'll get angel eyes.
E90 LCI xenons can be retrofitted as well but I'm not 100% sure on the details. I'm sure you can find more info about those in this section somewhere. E92 headlights won't fit on your car. Don't go aftermarket. Pls.

Thanks I actually almost bought an e92 housing! I was looking at the LCI halogen's-the price is great but I would much rather try my luck with xenon's. Just not sure if it'd be easier/cheaper to just purchase an aftermarket set of bulbs & ballasts to go into the LCI xenon housings.
