Rock chip on CF roof

Hey all,

Very depressing moment occurred this morning on the drive into work, I heard a loud bang on my roof suddenly on the highway, and sure enough there's a small chip in my CF roof from the impact. Has anyone had experience fixing these, ie is this something a body shop can fill with clearcoat and polish out? Any advice appreciated!

Thanks

Put up a pic so people with good advice and contrubute. It's hard to speculate a fix without seeing the damage. Sorry man, this is kinda a bummer.

Looking at the top of the windshield - I was also noticing the gap between the roof and windshield can allow the front of the CF roof to eat some stones. I was wondering why they didn't fill it in with a rubber strip or something to protect the leading edge of the roof.

I had the same dreaded chip on my roof and my advice would be if it's not too big leave it alone. Having someone repair a CF Roof might make things worse. Another option is to get your whole roof wrapped with clear bra, it may cover up the chip and you will forget about it over time and knowing that you're protected you will feel a lot better.

The CF roof is no different than any other painted surface. It has a clear and can be easily touched up if it hasn't hit the CF weave. Personally, if it's not deep, I would buy some OEM clear from parts, touch it up, let dry. Then After a day, I would wet sand and buff. You will be hard pressed to find the chip again.
