Problem: Starting car on rainy days...HELP.

I just noticed this recently, as it has started raining pretty hard in SoCal...

Whenever I try to start my car, nothing happens. NOTHING. The computer doesn't even turn on. No CEL. It does, however, show that there is a key in the ignition. I know it's not the battery because when the key is in the ignition, the parking lights work, the radio turns on, the windows go up and down, etc. And, yes, I have a full tank of gas.

5 minutes to an hour later sometimes... the car will start and run perfectly fine!

Note, I have retrofit xenons on my car (halogens before). The headlight indicator error is the only CEL I have right now. Recently, the right head light has been going off during driving. When I wiggle the wire around, it turns back on. I notice that this side of the headlights gets pretty hot in comparison to the other side.

Could it be possible that my headlight has shorted something? Or is it something completely different? I need help. I don't wanna bring it to the dealership and have them void my warranty and tell me it has something to do with my aftermarket modification.

HELP!!!

I don't think it's the fuel pump b/c why wouldn't the computer even turn on? Right now I'm scared to drive it cuz I don't wanna be stranded somewhere.

Sometimes, I just keep pushing the start button while my foot is NOT on the break until i hear the steering wheel click once, then I know it'll start properly. Sometimes it takes like 20-40 pushes before I hear it. The other night, it never happened until I came back from a party and tried again then on the first try.

Fuckin weird, scary and annoying.

Note: I have an automatic 2006 325i... if that helps any.

Battery... have someone give you a jump and see if it starts right away... if not, it's time to take a trip to the dealer, they'll fix it.

+1. When I read this post, "faulty/dead battery" is the first thing that popped to my head.
