cold start stuttering and rough idle for 5mins then car is fine n54! help!!
As per the title above.. what may causing this? Only codes i get is the water pump. Can water pump cause this action? Only happens on cold start.

Im going to replace my water pump if so. But what if its not? Ive changed my thermostat already and now the only code is failing water pum. Please anyone help

If the waterpump is giving you a code, I would replace that regardless.
I had cold start stuttering that would go away after about 30-1 min. Eventually a code for missfire on cylinder 6 showed up. Changed sparks, plugs, and the injector. Code went away. but rough idle was still there. Cleaned up the intake valves (walnut blast) and now its smooth. If you get no codes, and you havent done any of the above, consider start doing them. Sparks and plugs are easy to diy. |

Ok. But my spark plugs are few months old because i just changed them. My milage is 102k km. And i just had bms occ installed. But i have not yet clean the intake valve.

I would say these items are unrelated. if water pump codes its on it way out, replace it before it leaves you stranded. Rough idle is injectors 99% of the time. They leak when sitting for an extended amount of time, which is why it runs rough when started. When the excess fuel that the injectors leak has been burned off the car will run smooth again.

Yepp. Most likely leaky injectors, or carbon build up. If your car is due for them, I'd do an entire overhaul with injectors, coils, and not plugs if you just replaced them. Ecs has a good maintenance kit.

+1 on injectors, mine was doing the same before i replaced them. you can check by pulling spark plugs after a cold start. the bad ones will be wet with fuel
