Anyone having a problem with their floor mats coming apart?

Not a big deal but I have about 6k miles in a little over 7 months and the rectangular portion of the drivers side mat with the BMW lettering is separating from the rest of the mat. WTF? Any chance they might replace it under warranty? Otherwise is there a less expensive source for the mats?

Wow, that's pretty bad. My velcro pieces on the underside keep sliding on the adhesive so the mats move around, but that's the only problem I have.

I think the mats just suck. I have had my E92 for 10+ months, and my drivers side mat is coming apart where my right heel sits....Did you do ED? Those are supposed to be even worse than the ones you can from the dealer in the US.

Cool

I have BMW All Weather mats, not the ones with "carpet" all over them. I never got why people would buy the carpet ones in the first place, they just get dirty, grimey, and are hard to clean.

All weather floor mats are the best. They don't tear and they stay clean.

I have rubber mats in the car, the carpet mats that came with the car are wrapped in the plastic that the rubber mats came in.

I thought the idea of the carpet mats was to keep to put in the car when you sell it so that the buyer can see how overly-anal the first owner was.

Only problem is they're ugly. Actually, the all weather mats with the little carpet pad (posted here a week or so ago) look kind of nice.

I have the all weather mats in now -- I do it for winter -- but IMO the aesthetics are

One thing to keep in mind is that BMW parts are supposed to carry their own warranty. you should be able to take this up with the parts department.

(My e46 M3's floormat did the same thing and I got a new one by complaining at the parts department.)

The all weather mats are fugly. The sh*tty carpet mats are usually free, so I'm happy with what I got. Mine does generate an arseload of lint and seems to be wearing fast though...

The BMW carpat mats are cheap and very thin. My winter unit (Toyota Highlander) has much thicker carpeted mats. My previous ride (Acura CL-S) had the best carpeted mat I've seen to date.

So true, and the all weather mats keep that mildew smell to zero. They may look industrial, but they are very functional.

I got my carpet mats with the car. I couldn't justify spending almost $60+ on all season mats for the car. I went to walmart and bought nice rubber mats to go over the carpet ones... downside was I had to cut the driver side to fit correctly around the gas pedal but for a little under $20 I have nice winter mats. I may buy the front all weather mats in the future, but it wasn't a priority to have BMW mats at the time.

I've been in a friends 335i and he had the carpet mats... ugh. It smelled like rotten fruit, and his mats were filthy. If you're going to spend $40,000 on a car, getting BMW all-weather mats shouldn't even be a discussion.

My dealer included both the carpet and all weather mats with the purchase of my vehicle. ( and I didn't pay MSRP either)

I bought BMW All Weather Rubber mats for the front (driver and passenger) seats. Since no one ever sits in my back seat I left the carpet mats in the back, and they're always clean.

Floormats are coming apart? They are covered by your warranty. Take you car to your BMW dealer. They have to change them and get you new ones.

I would rubber mats too! easier to clean and you can spill anything you want.

Yeah but hey are fugly. You buy a beautiful and then then put these ugly rubber things in it. I'd rather buy a new pair in a couple of years.
