Spec Stage 3+ owners in here

Just got my Spec Stage 3+ clutch installed with their lightweight single mass flywheel.

Questions

I hear a lot of grinding and chatter INSIDE the car at low RPMS, it goes away when clutch is down. Seems to be normal I think? Never had a clutch sound like this before so I can't say for a fact.

It does not seems smooth...mind you there's only 60 miles on the clutch.

Am I just freaking out? Is everything ok?

Normal. The single mass will induce a lot of gearbox rattle. The clutch will be noisy at low rpms also. I went through the same thing with my 2+. I put the uuc fluid cocktail in the tranny and the gearbox rattle is gone other than when the a/c is on. Even then it's greatly reduced.

From what I've read, that setup will be loud/chatter. Also, the clutch should smooth out engagement as it breaks in a bit. Drive often and try to rack some miles on it.

Just life with a single mass flywheel. It is completely normal.

Did you go with SPEC's steel or their aluminum single mass fly?

The lighter aluminum one will allow more tranny rattle.
