335xi Dyno Results
I have 2007 e90 335xi with a JB4, DCI, and 3in DP's and was finally able to dyno it to see what it was putting down. I ran it on map 5 and put down 344hp and 380tq at the wheels (MAP 5). The shop guessed that its making around 400hp from the crank, not sure about the tq.
My question is what I should do next. I want to get more power out of the motor without going to a full out turbo upgrade, at least not yet The dyno shop recommended a back-end flash on the JB4 but other than that I'm not sure what the next step should be. PS - I just changed all the plugs and did a carbon cleaning on the intake valves so it should be at full performance. |

That seems kind of low for an N54. What was your baseline hp? Were you running any e85?

FMIC, BMS flash, 30-40% E85.
In-line Fuel-It! LPFP and 60% E85 if you want even more power.

I wanna do the flash and FMIC, not so much a fan on e85. It's terrible for your fuel lines and is bad to use over time.
Has anyone had results from a Chargepipe and DV? |

I've been running E85 for 3 years without issues. Others have been using it for much longer. Higher power comes from higher octane combined with a tune that takes advantage of the high octane.

An aftermarket chargepipe will replace the stock plastic chargepipe and is more of a preventative measure. The stock CP is prone to cracking and you'll want to upgrade that as soon as you can. It will not add power though.

Of the countless N54 owners who have run e85 can you point out ONE documented example of deteriorated fuel lines or failure in general? Information on how great/terrible it is for your engine is almost always agenda related (corn farmer/lobbyist research say it's wonderful, petroleum oil/lobbyist research say it's terrible). You have countless first hand users with years of use in various ratios on your very platform and you your still convinced it's horrible. And that's not to say it's not more corrosive than petrol, that is fact (just grossly overstated in the ratios it's being used), however your 75whp over stock tuning and actually probably believe long term ramifications of that is less so than a mild ethanol mix...Hardly
