Doing my build-Vargas 2+ this week. Woo hoo

Ok so I've been planning and plotting to take over the world, and build a mean e93. Her name is going to be the Beast.
Did a factory delivery of a 2008 artic white/saddle 335i e93 with manual trans and every option except Idrive, active steering, and winter package.
A few years ago I added:
Laser Interceptor Jammers
Hard wired a Garmin GPS and Valentine One radar
15% tint all windows.
Juicebox 3.

So now with 226, 000 miles and the turbos crapped out, I decided to big or go home. I started the build last year but got laid off and put it on hold. Now I'm back and getting ready.

At this point I have:
-Wavetrac 3.08 LSD
-Boost Addictions LSD lockdown
-KW V2 coilovers with 1" front drop, 1/2" rear
-M3/TRW front control arms
-M3 Strut tower brace
-VRSF 7" FMIC with aluminum downpipes
-Juicebox 4 G5 with 2 step module
-Breyton Race CS rims 19x8.5 et.30 front, 19x9.5 et.35 rear
-Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires 235/35-19 front, 275/30-19 rear
-Stoptech drilled and slotted rotors, pads
-OEM Aero front lip and Msport rear bumper, M3 side skirts
-Laser Interceptor Jammers
-Hard wired a Garmin GPS and Valentine One radar detector
-JL touring carbon fiber rear wing
-Black and white carbon fiber roundels
-Clear reflectors
-Smart Top module
-Cree 80w angel eyes
-M3 steering wheel with Alcantara trim
-ZSP short weighted shift knob
-15% window tint
-Rogue Engineering transmission mounts

Doing now:
-Vargas stage 2+ turbos with 9 blade Garrett clipped turbos, 6x6 billet compressor, 20T drive gear
-ER charge pipe with tial bov
-VRSF catless downpipes
-BMS clutch valve and clutch stop
-Fuel-it stage 3 double LPFP
-MHD with Motiv/PTF tune
-Motiv fuel rail stage 2
-Motiv dual disc clutch and dual mass flywheel. 1000hp rated
-AKG black subframe bushings
-NGK plugs
-MMP inlet pipes

I'm going to replace:
-Coils if needed
-Injectors if needed. I have the new post recall ones now
-Valve cover gasket
-Oil filter housing gasket
-Serpentine belt
-PCV if needed
-Walnut blast if needed
-Have all bushings checked and replaced as needed
-Replace laser interceptors with ALP setup
-touch up a rear bumper rub

I've also done:
-New radiator
-New water pump

Next year
-Avant Garde Form 420 wheels 19x9 et.30 front, 19x11 et.42 rear in liquid bronze with polished clearcoat barrels
-245/35-19 front and 305/30-19 rear Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 rubber.
-Rear fender roll.
-Amuse or M1 or M3 replica front bumper with carbon fiber splitter
-F30 380mm Msport Performance Brembo front brakes in orange or BMW blue and paint rear calipers to match
-Cool Carbon brake pads
-M3 Brake master cylinder

Possible additional work:
-328 rear brakes
-16" rear wheels with 28"slicks for the track
-Carbon creations executive hood
-repaint in Sakhir Orange leaving revealed portions of the carbon fiber hood etc.
-Forcewerkz carbon fiber side skirt extenders

So that s the plan. Did I miss anything?

Look like a solid plan. However, I would suggest doing the suspension mods before the turbos. You'll be able to enjoy the power a lot more.

I agree but initially I had intended to do just stage 2 turbos and that was it. I had paid for them but before he built them he announced stage2+ and gave me the option to upgrade. I decided to go for it but as finances were couldn't do all in one shot. Turbos were paid for already so I focused on parts necessary to make them work first and maintenance parts. Hence the upgrade progression.

Are you at all worried about the integrity of a 200k motor with all these mods?

I am curious about this as well. Please keep us updated throughout your build! These motors are tough and 200k miles with 500+whp will be very interesting.

No not really. They take about 100k to break in and I'm having it compression tested. Most stuff is new. Everything but block, internals which are forged, and head which is being walnut blasted for the first time. It's mostly 3,000 rpm highway miles, 95%. Call it seasoned. Lol

Pretty much looks good to me. Think about waterpump while turbos are out -even though mine is currently working well I'm doing mine again at turbo install because it ends up being the cost of a waterpump plus about an hour of labor in lieu of starting from scratch. Same deal with engine motor mounts.

Good luck!

I'd update your front subframe and motor mounts with is version. Plus maybe m3 suspension bits. Plus RB PVC upgrades and new bushings when doing diff lock down brace.

I run the same tires. You will easily spin them with the power you will have in second and 3rd gear (3rd gear depending on the outside temperature). I am not saying that PSS s are bad by no means but R compound tires will definitely work better with the power level you are looking forward to achieve.

Stage 1 should be all Maintenance:
All gaskets listed, walnut blast, water pump, plugs, compression test, coils, injectors, and bling
Oil Catch Can after walnut blast as a good preventive measure

Stage 2 should be all drivetrain:
M3 Swing Arms, Clutch/flywheel, subframe bushings, wheels, brakes, suspension, LSD and LSD lock down, then get corner balancing, this is more important than most people realize.

Stage 3 should be all supporting mods:
Fuel Pumps, IC, CP, tune

Then stage 4 should be the final turbo + downpipes:

Other notes:
Do the intercooler and charge pipe together (but no meth?)

Instead of Cobb, go G5 ISO + back end flash, a believe Terry wrote a custom tune for Vargas Stage 2+ (You would need a cable to do BMS back end flash)

I think fuel it stage 3 (dual Walbro 450) is overkill, the stage 2 has a single 450. Unless you are doing some insane ST setup trying to support 800whp on pure E85, then stage 2 is all that’s needed.

“NGK plugs” OEM? I would get one step colder plugs from a Mini Copper S

Doing subframe bushings with the LSD. Did water pump 3,000 miles ago. First time. Doing engine mounts and trans mounts with turbos. Can't afford suspension for 1 month. Then it's done too. I'm

I need to use this for daily driving. 50,000 a year. Can't use r compound tires

Steve from fuel-it recommended the stage 3, Tony is using it in his. No meth but going to run 100% e85. It's cheaper and the pump is 2 miles from my house.
