issues with interior upholstery and paint
Has anyone noticed the slightly shotty job that BMW has done on the interior upholstery, specifically the top piece of vinyl on the interior of the door? Mine appears bubbly and improperly applied. Is this worth mentioning to the dealer when I take it in for a look for the transmission stalling and gear grinding?
Additionally, there are 2 hazy 2in wide spots in the paint on both the drivers side and drivers side passenger door. It looks like a paint issue and is below the clear coat (i have black sapphire). I've tried clay bar and wax on it but nothing seems to work as it appears to be under the clear coat. The spots are highly noticeable at night when condensation forms on the car and even highlights the spots, making them more apparent. To better understand, I'll post pics tonight/tomorrow.... I couldn't find an issue with my interior and I looked very closely before I took delivery. It's flawless, not even a micro scratch on the walnut surfaces, I was impressed. Maybe your vehicle was subject to higher than normal temperatures or lower than normal temperatures when it was being assembled?
