How To Do Burnout In 335

How do you do a burnout in 335 coupe?

At a complete stop w/ traction off, I can never get the wheels spinning in one place. What am I doing wrong?

I drive automatic.

This is what I do:
1st gear tiptronic, traction off, slam the brakes, slam the gas until breaks give up, let go of brakes.... Tires squeal and car starts launching forward. How do you make car sort of stationary while tires are spinning?

Can't. Not from my experience at least. Can't bounce off the rev limiter indefinitely or dump the "clutch" at high enough rpms. All I get is a bit of wheel spin and then an eventual launch.

They "safest" way to do it in an auto is to turn the wheel all of the left or right, M1, DTC + DSC off, throttle to the floor.

I'm not sure, but i think what you do is that you press on the breaks to luck the front wheels then you press on gas to rotate the rear wheels. I might be wrong in saying that the foot break is only for the front wheels, so plz tell me if I am.

Its for all four wheels, but only the rears provide power (unless its a xi)

Thanks, I thought the foot breaks were for the front wheels and the hand break was only for the rear.

For an automatic transmission here is a simple way.
1. While carefully modulating the amount of brake applied to ALL four corners, slowly let the car roll into a sturdy concrete barrier.
2. Turn off all traction control and stability inducing devices and/or safeguards.
3. With the car squarely planted on barrier, bury right foot on right pedal.
4. Contact local tire dealer for specials.

i usually well first turn off all traction devices (dtc/stabability) hold rpms at around 3k then dump the clutch burry your foot into the gas pedal and then hold the brake with your left foot... but i usually dont do burn outs i like to use thoe precious last bit fo tread in donuts

I have a 328i so you 335i guys have a ton more torque to play with than I do.

For my car if I want to do a burnout for 2-3 seconds and eventually launch I rev to 4-5,000 RPMs and dump my clutch quickly, I rarely ever do this and only do it for a laugh because it's pretty hard on your clutch and entire drivetrain (even with the CDV) and in under 10,000 miles my rear tires are completely worn because of the way I drive the car.

If you want to do a stationary burnout you do the same but you also hold the brake. I have huge feet so I can cover the gas and brake with one foot without heel and toeing so I use the left part of my right foot on the brake and use the right part of my right foot to modulate the throttle so I don't bounce off the rev limiter too much and keep my left foot near the clutch so I don't stall like a jackass haha.

So it's a good way of wasting tread and brake pads. Atleast the pads are under warranty, or so I think.
