Got bit on the fin!

This past summer I was on a road trip and while I was pumping gas I noticed that my shark fin had some chips on it. I just figured I probably got hit by some road debris.

The garage that I park at where I live had some squirrels that was living there. The squirrels were there already before I even went on my road trip.

I had complained about the squirrels living in the garage because they kept walking all over my car and leaving foot prints. Well a month after my road trip I noticed they put traps to trap the squirrels. I was chatting with the parking attendant about how they are finally doing something about the squirrels. That's when he told me that a lot of the other customers were complaining how the squirrels were nibbling on their cars. That's when I realized that scratches on my shark fin was from the squirrels. I looked at all the cars that had a shark fin and they all had bite marks on it.

Shark's fin soup anyone?

Better than the NY Times article recently discussing rats´nests in cars.

I guess the garage is paying for the repair and a good detailing.

Squirrels are vicious varmints and should be eradicated. My friend had to remove the knobs from his outdoor grill because those bastards would gnaw them away.

As I was at my parents´house today, watching the squirrels scurrying across the grounds chomping on nuts, I wondered if BMW fins taste similar.

Sometimes when I'm brushing the snow off my car I accidentally hit the fin with the ice scraper on the end of the brush, I have to remind myself sometimes that it's there.

Over here we have Marders (animal the German Tank Destroyers of WWII and the modern APC were named after.) that attack cars left outside. Apparently they like hot plastic/rubber, so an engine bay is pretty much paradise for them. I have talked to more than one person who has reported they went outside to their car only to find it dead from the wiring being chewed up. Luckily I park indoors now
