Eisenmann Sport with X-Pipe!! New Video!!

Ok, I had the Magnaflow x-pipe installed yesterday. I cant swing the Eisenmann pipes at this time, so I had to take a more cost effective approach.

Well, it is now nearly perfect! The sound is crisper without the E90 resonator, and certainly louder. I dont know if you can hear the changes in the clip, but in person its almost night and day. I just wanna drive all the time now now so I can hear it

Things to note in the video. After the WOT run, listen when I down shift at the top of the hill, you might have to turn up your speakers, but it makes a great sound.

Also, during the first gear slow pull, about half way up the hill I let off the gas and it gives some nice crackle and pop, gotta love it.

Enjoy guys, and I have in car footage as well, I might get to post that in the next day or two.

HERE YA GO!!!

Here is the in car video. Im kinda disappointed in it as the sound didnt really come thru as I would have liked it too.

IN CAR VIDEO!

i'm speachless fraggy, seriously, great video man. How much louder has it gotten? I know we're both not fans of drone so how much louder would you say this has gotten, especially at idle? Will it be waking up neighbors at night? Also, does the Xpipe only replace the resonator or does it replace the secondary cats as well? and finally, how much does it cost without install?

Sadly enough man, there is drone. The same drone I talked about between 2-2.5k rpms. Its gotten somewhat louder. Also keep in mind Ive got the AT which should produce more drone than MT. But its liveable. I love the sound and the volume of the sound. The high pitch is just what I wanted.

Idle, well, thats one of the best parts. Idle is awesome. You can clearly hear it rumble in the car and outside, its just what you want people to hear. Its NOT even close to keep your neighbors awake, it just sounds like a kick ass car.

Sounds just like I hoped.

How much did the magnaflow run you?

I wonder how an eisenman or other brand pipe may change the sound?

Thanks. The secondary cats are still there, Im very hesitant to take them off.

The Magnaflow is just the X cross over, no real pipes. Look below...
http://app.infopia.com/Shop/Control/...d/0/rid/126348

So we put the x pipe in the place of the resonator. Cost is less than $100. All other piping is stock except for little connector pieces the shop had to make so that it all fit well. This is the same X-Pipe that Mr. 5 used on his awesome setup.

Im sure the Eisenmann pipes would sound different as they are made specifically for the car. It was just an expense I couldnt swing right now though. The Magnaflow was less than $100 + of $125 to install.

As you can see from the posts above, the fitment had to be worked on as it was just a universal part and not made for BMW.

BTW, did you read my other post to you video editing in the other thread?

In Car Video

Its now up on the first page of the thread. Its a bit disappointing as the sound was not captured well.

good effort fraggy! Thats the problem with the in-car video, it never captures the tone well since in real life your ears are adapting to all the different sounds and when you record, you depend on a crappy camcorder mic. Still sounds great on the car tho!

I was confused. I was thinking SR pipes.

I would like to hear it with SR's, bet it would be even better.
