Personally I would suggest not tinting your headlights, its just going to reduce their light output.
However, if you really want to do it a well known film is Lamin-X, probably the best one around that I know of. Several people on here have used the red film on their tailights and it seems to work quite well |

I'll just say if you get into an accident don't say we didn't say so. Safety first for yourself and all other road going drivers

I'm assuming that's what you're referring to with this post - you have a prelci e90?

I have the amber overlays and recommend them. I don't like the solid color matched overlays though.
Yes, if you get within a few inches, you can tell it is an overlay, but from a few feet away them look really good IMO. I also got my from Firearm on ebay... he had 2 choices, one dark 20%, and one light tint 35%... I don't like the look of the darker tint, and went with the lighter tint and am very happy. The above ebay link is where I got mine, but the picture shows the darker tint. The darker tint looks goofy to me. Spend a little time and align them so you don't have any amber showing through and they look good IMO. In the right sunlight, it sometimes looks like I don't have any tint on them at all. I can get pics if you are interested. Light tint > dark tint > color matched. Cant really beat it for $15... if you don't like it just pull them back on and go on with your day.
