Tire repair kit
Interested in what experience people had with mobile tire repair kits. Do they work? I am going to non run-flats for my winter setup and want to get one. Thanks for any feedback you can provide.

Anyone? I'm interested too as I'll be moving to non-rft when I swap to summer shoes....

Anything small like a nail puncture should be okay, just remember to use the kit correctly (it's amazing how many people don't read the instructions). But larger cuts or holes will require a tow truck for sure. I've suffered once before from this in the winter, so my winter setup will always be RFT from here on out.

I haven't used the actual BMW one that came with the car but used one on another vehicle.
I had a split in the sidewall. I figured I'd give it a go and it got me about 200 meters before going flat again. It actually did better than I thought. A small nail hole should be fine... but that's about it. |
