Active Autowerke Strut Bar - worth it??

Need some help regarding the Active Autowerke Strut Bar...

Saw this up on the Bimmian website a couple days ago. Anyone have this installed? Is it worth it or is it just aesthetically appealing in the engine bay?

I tried looking up previous forums but essentially it's just sellers and group deals - no real reviews. My car is full bolt on plus JB4 so it puts out a lot of extra HP and torque.

Also anyone find it cheaper than bimmians pricing ($405 CAD)?? In Canada the prices are always inflated drives me nuts!! Thanks for the help people!

i doubt your notice much of a difference, but you should be able to feel it tighter in the corners. i have a cusco strut laying around but haven't had a chance to try it out, but I've heard its a minimal difference. if you really want better handling on the corners i would upgrade your sway bars. i noticed a lot less body roll when i upgraded mine and the car felt more like a go kart. However what you should really do is put in a LSD to help put the power down since your basically spinning one tire now.

and get diff lock to help with that nasty wheel hop you get when launching the car

What kind of sway bars did you upgrade to? What was the install like? I heard it is a huge pain on the n54 models!!

have it, installed it. If you can get it for a good deal, then why not. It doesn't make as much of a difference IMO. If i could choose again, i'd splurge and get the BMW CF front strut bar, its lighter and so much sexier. Also the AA bar covers the windshield washer filling tube thingy, so you may have to remove the bar when you are low on windshield washer fluid
