"Compound Boost" - A Supercharged and Bi-Turbocharged N54?

Why not keep our stock twins and slap a small centrifugal supercharger into the mix...

It's not a new concept, Ford/Terminator guys have been supplementing their stock eatons with turbo setups for a while now. Why go with a single turbo (or upgraded twins) when N52 supercharger kits are relatively well priced? Obviously it wouldn't be ready-to-run, would require pipe fabrication, and leave some tuners scratching their heads... but in due time I'm sure someone could profit off making a kit. I'm not saying it's the end all for our boost needs, but why isn't it a option?

Best part, peoples reactions when you tell them you have a twin-turbo supercharged N54

I think you've misunderstood me, i'm not saying N52 = N54, nor am I suggesting to use a centrifugal as a stand alone. I'm talking about a centrifugal in conjuction with the stock twins...

You are going about it the Wong way
I comented on Fftec's Facebook page that they should call Shiv up again and have him bring over one of those Electric superchagers he use on the ft 86 and put it on a Big single turbo N54. The charger should only work so that one could eleminate turbolag and aid spoolresponse, just like In le-man or F1 cars.
Audi just showede a prototype rs5 TDI couple of month ago where they did it

Nope understood you fine. I think you don't understand how a compound charging systems works. The tiny blowers on a n52 will not flow enough. They need less air to make the same power because of the compression ratio. You'd have 2-3 times hybrid twins into a compound system that makes Stg 2/RB power.

Also, supers are typically used for low end power until the turbo(s) is spooled and going. Stock/RB's don't have a low end problem.

And it would for sure be a tuning nightmare.

Keep in mind Audi is a company that calls their supercharged engine "T's" and call their injection system "turbo stratified".

Bunch of goons run that place or something.
