Did I make a good bet? (Fuel Economy for 335i)
I was with one of my dumb friends who was convinced it was a BMW engine that powered the BF-109 Messerschmit fighter (it was a MB supercharged engine....it was a BMW radial engine that powered the BF-190 Fockewolfe fighther).
Anyway, I won an easy bet......he wanted double or nothing.... I bet him the the BMW 335i had the best fuel economy for a 300 hp car (stock). We all know the S4 is a joke for power and fuel economy. They don't sell Evos in Canada (and they still don't make 300 hp stock). The STI doesn't make 300 hp stock in Canada. Any other car waiting for me in the weeds or am I going to humilate my friend again.

I will do a little searching, but it sounds like a good bet to me.... Most other 300hp stock cars with be N/A and as such have worse gas mileage then the 335i....

It is really too bad the G35 didn't make 300 hp.

We always talk of power on this board but our cars are pretty miserly considering it will shame most cars

You lost this bet, there's too many cars that have close to better fuel economy, the C6 is 430 hp and is rated at 18/28. I would say that beats the 335. Granted the real life fuel economy is sure to be worse, I wouldn't pay you if it was me.

How is 18/28 better than 19/29? You wouldn't pay because you have no moral fiber Come on just admit it.

If you tried to take the bet because a car with 130HP more got a whole one less MPG (in rating), yea I wouldn't pay you. It's clearly got better fuel economy rating.

Wow, if I had a fixed amount of fuel, would your Vette go further?? It wasn't a bet on HP / mpg. It was a bet on the best 300 hp car.....I formed the bet that suited me best. I am glad to know that had you bet me and lost, you wouldn't have paid.

Also according to the same site the 335 is 17/26, so yes the vette wins.
