H&R Spring Install

What would be the ideal price to pay to get H&R Springs installed on an M4.

Went to one shop and said the back seats have to be removed... is this true?

No. Rears are so easy it takes less than 10min. Front Take about 30min per side.

I would say 2hrs of labor tops for a shop. I don't have a lift and it took me under 2 hours.

You don't have to removed the back seat when installing the springs on the M4. You are looking at $250-400 depending on the shop.

This is the go to man for F8x spring install!

Shop time is actually longer than the E9x chassis. Expect to pay around 4 hours or more at your local shop hourly rate for install. Plus an alignment.

I used to lower cars a lot back in my JDM days... I used to use spring compressor clamps but I have never lowered a BMW...

Spring compressors still applicable on M4?
Any issues with the adaptive suspension?

You may need it on the front ones when removing the stock springs... Don't need it for the rears... and you also don't need it to install the new ones.

If you have an impact gun, you could get away with not using it at all... it'll pop out a little but not much where it could be "dangerous".

I haven't had issues. Just hit 1300 miles on the car. Had my first service last week and all. Seems okay.

What did you do about camber/alignment adjustments?

Seats do not need to be touched. If you are in the Orange County area and haven't pulled the trigger yet, we would be happy to install the springs for you - I have plenty in stock.

A friend of mine works at a local tire shop. He did an alignment. The rears were a little off... We didn't have the specs for the 2015 m4 since it was so new so we did it based on e92 m3.

The seatbacks do not haveto be removed for the installation.

We charge $425 with Alignment for the F80/F82 M3/M4's - Give us a call to schedule an appointment.

What sized socket is needed for the front top hats? I'm going to order the socket from ECS that allows proper torquing w/o zapping it with a impact gun.
