Question on adjusting hand brake?

hey all, I did a quick search, but came up with nothing....does anyone know how to adjust the e-brake? Is it a quick adjustment on the brake handle, or is it beneath the rear wheel? thanks in advance!

its adjusted in the rear

Any misadjustment will cause damage to the rear e-brake shoes.

why do you need to adjust?

I have the same problem. Is there no way to adjust this by the handle?

No, which is the main reason why you should park in gear if you have a manual transmission.

There is an adjustor screw behind the rear rotor. You do not have to remove it to get to it. Just remove wheel and rotate the rotor while looking in the lug holes (use a flashlight). You'll see a spur. Rotating the spur with a flat screw driver will adjust the brake. BE CAREFUL. I had someone adjust mine and it engaged while I was on the track! It didn't lock the brakes but it overheated the shoes and cracked the rotor hub. All bad! Have a BMW shop do this. BMW e-brakes should not engage on the first click.

There is a DIY for the last generation but it still applies today:
